Most hoofcare professionals got into the job because we want to improve horses’ soundness and quality of life, and give hope to owners struggling with horses with lameness issues or hoof pathology. Anyone who works in hoof rehab will likely say it’s can be a very rewarding career! But, on the other hand, it can also be a very difficult one. Struggling with difficult clients, difficult horses, and difficult cases can lead to career-ending issues such as burn out and compassion fatigue.
