Many of you who follow this page know that I got into hoofcare because of my navicular-diagnosed gelding, Vinnie. Because of Vinnie’s lameness issues and subsequent journey to healthier hooves, I met people all over the world who were going through similar things with their navicular horses. One of those people was Hannah Fox, a trainer and rider who lived in my general area, with a navicular horse, Leopold.
Hannah went through a navicular rehab journey of her own, and got her gelding Leopold back to full work, competition, and even back to jumping and foxhunting. I asked Hannah if she would chat with me about her journey with Leopold, how his lameness journey started, and where they are now.
You can hear the entire conversation on any podcast app under “The Humble Hoof,” or directly at this link.
