Feeding Forage for Horse Health

Anyone who knows me knows that I’m a bit obsessed with the diet side of hoof rehab. Feeding horses in a species appropriate way leads to overall health, which in turn will help grow the healthiest hooves possible for that horse. We know that the mainstay of a horses’ diets should be forage – but what does that look like?

Dr. Erin Roddy and Dr. Ethan Romas-Hill chatted with me about what a forage-based diet really means, and why it’s important for overall health. You can hear the entire conversation on any podcast app under “The Humble Hoof,” or directly at this link.
