Working on navicular cases has been a passion of mine for over a decade now, and I still love seeing these horses come up sound with some troubleshooting and hoofcare or management changes. That doesn’t mean that every navicular case goes riding off happily into the sunset – some of these cases can be the most difficult to work with and can tug at our heartstrings.
One of the biggest hoofcare influences for navicular cases in my journey has been Steven Leigh. I first heard of him through a navicular rehab facility in England, Rockley Farm, and he has occasionally dropped hoofcare words of wisdom into my life for about 10 years now. I asked if he would talk with me again this week about navicular cases, and he agreed!
